Last night in Studio K! Part II

Last night in Studio K was both productive and eventful. I was able to work on some of the many different painting projects I have currently going on.

I clear coated the crackled circle at the center of Starburst and started to fill the rays of the painting with a first layer of small circles.

I also worked on the four pointed panel, filling the negative registers with small random circles of crackle black.

On Star A I painted a lavender circle at the center of it’s brown star burst.

On Star B I did the same with a Lavender crackle glaze.

On Star C, I clear coated a veneer I collaged out of recycled paper, as well as clear coated some of the Arrows and cardboard panel.

I was also able to mix up some small medicine bottles of varied paint values for all the paintings.

These are some Doll heads that I glued some masks on to, for a sculptural projet that I am working on in Studio CB. By the time I got all of this progress done, I took off my headphones to realize that Studio K was flooding from a rotten window upstairs, and I had to notify my patrons of the situation. After some emergency rearranging, Studio K was left in a more disorganized chaos than before.

Oh Well. Tomorrow’s installment will be from Studio CB!

The stars look interesting, especially the one you said you were adding the crackle black to – would be nice to see a closeup.
So – ever do comic characters anymore?
